Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate

Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate (DLS) is a mild surfactant derived from coconut or palm oil. Although its name may resemble harsher ingredients like SLS, it is a completely different, very gentle molecule that does not irritate the skin and does not penetrate the skin barrier. Due to its large molecular structure, it is considered safe even for sensitive or children's skin.

DLS is used as a foaming agent and mild cleanser in gentle natural cosmetics – such as facial cleansers, shower gels, solid shampoos, bath products, and intimate care. It is often combined with other surfactants and can reduce the potential irritation caused by stronger cleansing agents in the product.
