Description

The coconut is the fruit of the coconut palm, scientifically known as Cocos nucifera. The nuts typically measure around 20-30 cm in diameter and weigh about 2.5 kg. They are rich in proteins, fats, fatty acids, and antioxidants. The coconut is covered by a brown husk, which is processed into coconut textile fibers, while the inside contains coconut flesh and coconut water. Coconut oil and coconut milk are extracted from the flesh of the coconut. The flesh is notable for its significant content of iron, copper, and selenium, as well as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, and vitamin C. Coconut water is one of the best natural electrolytes (important minerals involved in various metabolic processes in the body) and contains potassium, B vitamins (excluding B6 and B12), and vitamin C. Due to its composition, the coconut is highly popular in both the food and cosmetic industries.
